Paid media management with zero commission on your spend
Cortexa Pulse
Most agencies charge a management fee and then quietly take 10 to 15 per cent of every dollar you spend on ads. It sits inside the media invoice where you will not go looking. It means the more you spend, the more they earn, whether or not it worked. We do not do that. Our fee is our fee.
The problem
Your agency gets paid more when you spend more
That is the commission model, and it is still standard across most of the Australian market. It creates an incentive that runs directly against yours. Scaling budget is rewarded. Cutting waste is not.
You can usually spot it in the reporting. Impressions and reach lead the deck. Cost per acquisition is somewhere on slide nine. Return on ad spend is a conversation nobody starts.
We charge a flat fee. Whether your budget goes up, down, or pauses entirely, we earn the same. That means the only reason we would ever tell you to spend more is that the numbers say it will make you money.
What Pulse actually does
Google Ads
Search, Performance Max, Shopping, Display and YouTube. Built around commercial intent, structured so you can see which campaigns produce enquiries and which produce activity.
Meta and LinkedIn
Paid social for demand generation and retargeting. LinkedIn where the buying decision sits with a job title. Meta where it sits with a person.
Conversion tracking that actually works
Before we spend a dollar we verify that your tracking fires correctly. Broken conversion tracking is the most common problem we find in new accounts, and it makes every optimisation decision after it a guess.
Bid and budget management
Automated adjustment against live performance data, with a human setting the strategy and the guardrails. The machine responds faster than a person can. It should not decide what winning looks like.
Creative and copy
Human-written ad copy tested continuously. Creative fatigue tracked and refreshed before performance falls off, not after.
Landing page alignment
The best campaign in the world cannot fix a page that does not convert. We tell you when the problem is downstream of the ad, even though that is not the part you are paying us for.
Why this is different
Zero commission on media spend.
Not reduced. None. You see the platform invoice, you pay the platform directly, and we never touch a percentage.
No lock-in contract.
Thirty days notice. If the numbers stop working, you leave.
Your accounts stay yours.
Your Google Ads and Meta accounts are in your name, with your billing. If we part ways you keep every bit of historical data and every conversion signal. Agencies that run your ads inside their own manager account are holding that data hostage, whether or not they say so.
Founder access.
Andrew ran the client side of agency relationships for fifteen years before building this. He has read the invoices you are reading.
Process
Week 1. Audit. Full account review. Wasted spend, tracking integrity, structural issues, competitor position. You get the findings regardless of what you decide next.
Week 2. Rebuild or refine. Depending on what the audit turns up. Sometimes it is a restructure. Sometimes it is fixing conversion tracking and leaving the rest alone.
Week 3 onward. Manage and optimise. Daily monitoring, weekly adjustment, monthly strategy call.
Always. Live reporting. Cost per enquiry, cost per sale, return on ad spend. The numbers that determine whether this is worth doing.
FAQ
Do you really take no commission on ad spend? Correct. You pay the ad platforms directly using your own billing details. We charge a flat monthly management fee that does not change with your budget. You can verify this yourself in your account billing at any time.
What is the minimum ad spend you will work with? $1,500 per month is roughly where paid media starts producing enough data to optimise against. Below that the account cannot generate reliable signal, and we will usually tell you to put the money into organic search instead.
How much do you charge? Pulse management starts at $1,200 per month. Flat fee, no commission, no lock-in.
Who owns the ad accounts? You do. Always. We request access to accounts in your name rather than running you inside ours.
How quickly will I see results? Google Search campaigns with existing conversion history can improve within two to four weeks. New accounts need a learning period, typically four to six weeks before the data is stable enough to act on confidently. Anyone who guarantees a specific return on ad spend before seeing your account is guessing.
Can you work alongside my existing SEO agency? Yes, and often it works better than you would expect. Paid search data is the fastest way to learn which keywords actually convert, and that is directly useful to whoever is running your organic strategy. We will share it.
We will tell you what your current campaigns are wasting
Give us read access to your ad accounts and we will come back with a plain-English account review. Where the money is going, what is not tracked, and what we would change. Free, and yours to keep whether you engage us or not.
